NLC To Negotiate New Minimum Wage To N100K, N200K.

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has revealed its plans to negotiate the new minimum wage to either N100,000 or N200,000. This is coming hours after the organised labour announced the postponement of its nationwide strike for 30 days which was initially scheduled to commence on Tuesday, October 3.

Mohbad: Police detain Naira Marley.

The Lagos State Police Command, on Tuesday night, announced it had taken into custody controversial singer Azeez Fashola, alias Naira Marley, in connection with the controversial death of his former record label signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, alias Mohbad. The Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, said, �Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities.�

The National Publicity Director of the APC, Bala Ibrahim, attributed Atiku and the PDP�s action to what he called �post-election defeat disorder.�

Gunmen kill three, abduct eight in Sokoto village.

The Sokoto State Police Command has confirmed an attack carried out by suspected bandits that claimed the lives of three persons and left others injured in the Soro community, Binji Local Government Area of the state on Monday. The state police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ahmad Rufai, while confirming the attack, disclosed that some gunmen suspected to be bandits launched an attack on the Soro community but men of the command with the support of military operatives swiftly moved in and successfully repelled the attack.

The monarch admitted that Nigeria is currently at its trial period when the citizens are facing a lot of challenges in all ramifications of life.

Losers of presidential poll spreading fake news about Wike, says Rivers

The Rivers government says those who were defeated in the presidential poll are churning out fake news against Nyesom Wike, governor of the state. Chris Finebone, Rivers commissioner for information and communications, in a statement issued on Sunday, said the purveyors of the fake news are spreading them to deceive Nigerians. He said a preliminary investigation by the state government �revealed that the scheme is the handiwork of opposition social media urchins�.

African fintech unicorn Flutterwave has denied losing the sum of ?2,949,557,867 to hackers. It was earlier reported on Sunday that hackers stole the sum of ?2,949,557,867, from the accounts of the company and over 300 customers were affected by the fraudulent act. Meanwhile, the company disclosed nothing of such happened, on Sunday.

Elections: Imo, Rivers results manipulated, says Yiaga Africa

A civil rights organisation, Yiaga Africa, has added a new twist to the general election conducted on February 25, saying that the results from Imo and Rivers states were inconsistent with its projections for the states. The organisation raised the observation in its post-election statement signed by the Chair, Watching The Vote and Executive Director, Samson Itodo, obtained on Wednesday night and titled, �The 2023 presidential elections are once again a missed opportunity: INEC must be fundamentally reformed.�
